Frequently Asked Questions

  • How does it work?
    Urban Jars London operates on a weekly schedule. Ordering is open until Monday at 11:59 pm for Friday’s delivery. Our jars are prepared in a certified kitchen every Thursday and delivered right to your doorstep each Friday. Pick up is also available. Prior weeks’ jars are collected, sanitized, and reused to reduce our environmental footprint.
  • How can I pay?
    We accept E-transfer ( and credit card as payment methods. Payment option can be chosen at time of checkout.
  • Are you a subscription service?
    We are not a subscription service at this time.
  • Is there a minimum order?
    There is no minimum order amount. There is free delivery on orders above $49. Orders under $49 will be subject to a delivery fee of $6 which includes taxes.
  • What do I do with the jars?
    We pride ourselves on our low waste business model and recycle the jars our meals are delivered in. Please ensure your previous weeks’ jars are clean and ready for pick-up upon your next jar delivery. If you forego next week delivery, please drop-off the previous week’s jars to either Melissa’s or Sarah’s house within 14 days after your last order date.
  • What is the Variety Pack?
    Our Variety Pack consists of 2 breakfast jars, 3 lunch jars, 1 skillet jar and 1 order of 6 protein bites.
  • Can I add or remove meals once I place my order?
    Please email us at and we will always try our very best to accommodate!
  • When is the cut off time to place an order for the upcoming Friday delivery?
    All orders are due by Monday at 11:59 pm. If you have missed the cut off but still would like to order, please email us (! We understand things happen and will try our best to fit you in!
  • Do you offer the same meals each week?
    We will always offer staple items but our menu does change seasonally.
  • What do I do if I receive an incomplete or incorrect order?
    If you notice an issue with your order, please e-mail us at right away so we can resolve the issue.
  • Is your food always sourced locally?
    Whenever possible, we source from local farmers and producers. However, due to seasonality and ingredient requirements, at times we must source from outside Ontario/ Canada.
  • What if I have food allergies or dislikes?
    All our jars are completely customizable. There is a modification box during the ordering process and we also ask about allergies and dislikes during the sign-up process.
  • How long do meals stay fresh?
    Our jars are guaranteed fresh for 7 days when refrigerated.
  • Where do I find nutritional information for each jar?
    Nutritional information & ingredient lists for each jar can be found under the “Place an Order” tab. As all meals are hand-crafted, actual nutritional content may slightly vary, especially with any modifications.
  • When and where does Urban Jars London deliver?
    We deliver on Fridays between 12 – 5 pm. We cannot guarantee a specific delivery time as routes are calculated by weekly delivery schedules. We deliver to London, Dorchester & Belmont (If you are in Belmont, please put "Central Elgin" instead of Belmont as it goes by Google maps).
  • Can I pick-up my meals?
    We have pick-up locations in SW London, Dorchester or Belmont. Pick-up is available after 4 pm on Friday’s.
  • What if I am not home during delivery?
    If you will not be home during regular delivery hours, we ask you leave a small cooler outside to keep jars safe from sun/snow/rain.
  • Do you have free delivery?
    There is free delivery on orders above $49. Orders under $49 will be subject to a delivery fee of $6 which includes taxes.
  • How will I know my order has been received?
    You will receive e-mail confirmation of your order placed.
  • How does the jar/ bag deposit work?
    Jar and bag deposits ($2 each) are payable on your first order only. Jars can be returned to any of our pick-up locations. Jar deposits will be refunded via E-transfer upon return.
  • What payment methods are available?

  • Can I make changes to my order after the transaction has been processed?
    If you would like to make any changes, please email us at and we will always do our best to accommodate.
  • Do you offer gift cards? How do I purchase?
    We do offer e-gift cards. They can be purchased and redeemed directly on our website under the "Place an Order" tab. E-gift cards can be emailed directly to yourself or the intended recipient.
